Be part of a collaborative team running and improving our Kubernetes environments — mostly managed SKS on Exoscale, plus some legacy RKE2 via Rancher. Your main expertise will be in Kubernetes operations, automation, and GitOps workflows, but you’ll also contribute to monitoring, logging, and other infrastructure areas when needed.
Location: Vienna (hybrid)
What You’ll Work On:
- Operating and improving Kubernetes clusters (SKS Exoscale, RKE2 via Rancher).
- Automating deployments and operations with Terraform, Ansible, ArgoCD.
- Ensuring backups and restores work (Velero) and secrets are managed securely (Vault).
- Helping colleagues refine requirements into clear technical deliverables.
- Supporting monitoring and logging improvements for Kubernetes workloads.
- Participating in the on-call rotation once onboarded.
- On- call: 1 week every 5–6 weeks, 24×7, separately compensated
What You Bring:
- Strong Linux administration background.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes operations (managed or self-hosted) and at least one related tool (Rancher, ArgoCD, Terraform, Ansible, Velero, Vault).
- Ability to automate common tasks and maintain declarative infrastructure.
- Communication skills to clarify requirements and guide discussions towards feasible solutions.
- Understanding of how to weigh effort, impact, and ROI when suggesting solutions.
- English fluency (German a plus).

Our performance-based-salary models reward extraordinary commitment and success. The minimum annual gross salary according to the collective agreement is EUR 44.450,00 The actual annual salary depends on your skills and experience
